젤 좋아하는 Linux인 우분투를 넷북용으로 리믹스한 패키지가 있어서 소개해드립니다.
우분투 8.04 또는 8.10이 설치된 상태에서 설치하시면 됩니다 ^^

작은화면에 맞춘 런처로서, 큰 아이콘과 그룹화를 통해 작은화면에서도 쉽게 사용할수 있게 하였습니다.

human-netbook-theme
작은 화면에 맞춘 테마입니다.

maximus
작은 하면을 좀더 효율적으로 사용할 수 있도록 제목표시줄을 없애 줍니다.

window-picker-applet
현재 실행되는 창의 목록을 보여주며 창을 쉽게 이동시킬 수 있도록 도와줍니다.

ume-config-netbook
인텔의 아키텍쳐에 맞도록 넷북의 설정을 최적화 합니다.

Ubuntu Netbook Remix

Ubuntu Netbook Remix is a 'remix' of the standard Ubuntu Desktop release to enable it to work better on devices with small screens, such as Netbooks (sub-notebooks), although these packages will work on any 8.04 (Hardy) or 8.10 (Intrepid) installation.

Packages
======

go-home-applet: a super-charged 'show-desktop' applet which, in addition to showing the desktop, allows users to drag-and-drop files/folders/urls on to it, to create new favorite items in the launcher.

window-picker-applet: a space-conservative window-picker applet, which allows switching and closing windows from the panel.

maximus: a window-management daemon (makes sure windows are maximised etc)

human-netbook-theme: Human with panel themeing

ume-launcher: the desktop-launcher which takes the place of Nautilus. Replicates the functionality of Applications/Places/System, with added support for a user-defined favorites category.

(*new*) desktop-switcher: Allows easy desktop-mode switching between Netbook mode (launcher/special gnome-panel set-up) and Classic mode (Ubuntu 8.04 default set-up).

ume-launcher code and bugs at it's own launchpad page https://launchpad.net/netbook-remix-launcher. All other packages source/bugs are in this project.

Installation
=======

Use the netbook-remix-team ppa (https://edge.launchpad.net/~netbook-remix-team/+archive), install everything (including Metacity, if it's available for your Ubuntu version).

Once installed, you'll need to add maximus to autostart for your session. You'll also need to setup the gnome-panel to look like the screenshots, basically:
* Delete bottom panel
* Setup top panel like: GoHomeApplet|WindowPickerApplet|NotificationArea|MixerApplet|Clock

We recommend setting up a new user for testing purposes, and yes, we are working on an easier method for you to test this stuff out!!

Cydia Source 추가가능하지 않을까?

Cydia도 소스를 추가해서 Installer처럼 사용할수 있지않을까 해서 찾아보다가 /var/private/etc/apt/source.list/ 폴더안에 소스 주소들이 있는것을 발견했다 ㅋㅋ
bigboss.list , saurik.list , ste.list ... 이걸로 봐서 list안을 열어보면 소스를 받아오는 주소가 있지 않을까 해서 열어보았다 ...
역시나 ~

deb 이란 명령어가 소스를 불러오고 있고 그 뒤의 주소가 소스 주소인것 같다
이제 소스 주소만 알게 된다면 xxx.list를 만들어 넣어주면 되지 않을까 ㅎㅎ

2.0 jailbreak를 하고 나면 installer를 담당하는 cydia가 생기지만 소스의 추가삭제가 안되어서 3.1 이하의 installer를 사용하시던 사람들이라면 뭔가에 목마를 것이다.
installer가 아직 안나와서 2.0으로 갈아타지 못하사람들을 위한 희소식...
Installer 4.0이 막바지 작업중이라는 소식이다.
여어 나오면 2.0으로 jailbreak 해야겠다.

Hi folks! Many of you are wondering what’s up with Installer 4. No, we haven’t slowed down the work on it, and are currently in the final stages of hooking the GUI to the back-end. We will be contacting the authors of the major repositories in a few days to invite them into the testing process and to prepare for the upcoming repository changes.
